Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is an acclaimed American actor. She has starred in many films and TV series, including "Christy" which is a story of a girl named Christy Huddleston. Her other notable roles include being the main character in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Martin was the daughter of a department shop buyer and a kindergarten instructor. Her first acting experience was at seven years old when her aunt, who was a nanny in Michael Landon's household, assisted Martin find a role as a guest star on the TV show Father Murphy. After her graduation of Yale University, she took acting seriously and was able to land significant roles both on the small and the large screen. Martin is a professional actor and a skilled photographer and dancer has been working in the field for the past 20 years. Martin is the mother of two children and is the spokesperson of Lupus. After her 19-year-old sister's death, Martin has worked to educate people about the condition.
